I started this blog when I joined the Peace Corps in 2004. I lived in a small village in southeastern Moldova (Tvarditsa) for about a year, and then I was offered a position as a United Nations Volunteer with the Chornobyl Recovery and Development Programme in Ukraine. Now I am the Programme Officer for the United Nations Volunteer Programme in Ukraine.
I am originally from Columbus, Ohio. I currently live in Kyiv, Ukraine, with a very cute and very funny cat, Pepette, and a super guy, Igor.
All opinions expressed by me on this site are my own. Period.

I found your posts very thoughtful; some of our team has been tracking around the same parts of the world with one in Chisinau right now. We have been working hard to educate Americans about Eastern Europe by using the Millennium Development Goals. We also have many good friends in Transcarpathia and Uzhgorod in particular.
