Sometimes it's hard to find good stuff if you don't know what to look for, but you can always just go for the classics. I've found a lot of good books by <a href="http://www.pgdp.net/c/default.php">proofreading stuff for PG</a>...I'll proof a page or two out of some book, get sucked into the story, and then devour the book as soon as it's published on PG. Tis a good way to waste time if you've got time to waste. :-) I second Project Gutenberg. They're not always as convenient, but they sure do save space!
