Chornobyl Reading and Resources

In preparation for some presentations I made last year in the U.S., I prepared a list of websites and books about Chornobyl. I continue to add to the lists as I discover new and interesting resources.

But first, a note on spelling. “Chernobyl” and “Chornobyl” are both acceptable spellings for the same place. The former is the transliteration from the Russian spelling of the name (Чернобыль), the latter is the transliteration from the Ukrainian spelling (Чорнобиль). And “Kiev” and “Kyiv”, likewise, are the transliterations of the Russian (Киев) and Ukrainian (Київ) spellings, respectively.
